Benevolence Request

To apply for benevolence assistance, you must:

• Be a current partner of Cornerstone Church (A partner is a church member who does at least 2 of these 3: attends regularly, has been through Next Steps, and gives consistently).
• Be facing a temporary hardship that affects your ability to meet basic living needs.
• Be requesting assistance for:
  • Rent
  • Utilities (gas, electric, water)
  • Emergency expenses related to housing, safety or daily needs (evaluated case-by-case)

• We cannot issue cash payments directly to individuals.
• At this time, we’re not able to assist with expenses considered non-essential, such as vehicle insurance, credit cards, medical bills or subscriptions. 

• If approved, payments are made directly to vendors (landlord, utility companies, etc.).
• A member of our team will reach out to schedule a brief phone call and may request further documentation.
• Assistance is typically provided for a portion of your bill, up to a maximum of $250.
• The process usually takes about five business days from application to decision.
